I set up my iPad with a Yahoo log on but have not used it for so long that I have forgotten the password. Having tried everything I eventually returned the Ipad to factory settings BUT I still need the old password to change its identity. I have no idea what the password is so how do I overcome this problem? Many, many thanks

IF..... The Yahoo email address is still your current Apple ID, you can recover the password.
Thank you but yahoo has not been my email address for a long time. I have tried with support but have got the wrong answers to secret questions and unable to have it emailed to me because I need a password to opern email. I have an iPhone 5 and old iPad that are registered with my bt account. I have no idea why I registered this iPad with yahoo. Any ideas? I appreciate any help. X
The only thing that I can think of is to contact Apple directly through whatever means that they offer here.
