I need to record some high end lectures

I need to record some high end lectures and some simple choral music. I am thinking about using an interface. I have heard that Hi Jack Pro is good for this. Any thoughts? I will be using a MacAir laptop with 8mb ram and an external hard drive. Each lecture will be at least an hour long if not more.

Do you have microphones? How many? Do they need phantom power?

If you don't have any equipment, $50 is hugely unrealistic.

Yes, I have two good microphones and a computer interface. All I need is the software.
