Q: Repeatingly asked to provide Keychain password.

Repeatedly get message: Mail (or other app) wants to use "login" keychain. Please enter keychain password. I do so, then later am asked again and again.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Keychain - OS X Mavericks v10.9.1: Repeated prompts to unlock "Local Items"

Try running Keychain First Aid and resetting the original keychain.
