Why does my Netflix and HBO Go not work after installing Yosemite?

Have you tried uninstalling them and then redownloading and installing them?

Display Error
There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirrored using Airplay.
This is what i get when trying to use netflix after the upgrade. Never had an issue before, no changes to hardware.
Netflix has removed the HTML 5 playback settings work around to fix this within the past few days. I called them tonight to complain and after a lengthy conversation with an escalation supervisor they basically said to call Apple support. Problem not solved, unless you want to switch to using Google Chrome, Stop using VGA cables or no longer use Apple TVs Airplay. All my monitors are HDCP compliant. However, if the technology connecting your monitors to your Mac is not HDCP compliant you will receive this HDCP error if you continue to use Yosemite\Safari and Netflix.
Simply using Chrome sorted the problem for me. Netflix support failed to mention the key reported issue that its Safari causing the problem!
