Q: Logix X hangs when recording audio

HI,

have had some issues with logic x after the maverick 10.9.7 update which in most parts got fixed by uninstalling logic x, clear the cache and reinstall it. But tjere is one issue that I haven't been able to fix yet and that is working with audio files. Let's say I record 4 bars via my soundcard input, it records fine but as soon as I try to do something with the recorded audio, i.e. Delete the clip in order to make a new take, logic x hangs instantly.

anyone have had similar problems and might have a fix for it?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio, and in there, what do you have "I/O Buffer Size" set to?

Rule of thumb: The larger the buffer size, the less CPU power is needed.  The smaller the buffer size, the more CPU power is needed.  Try decreasing the buffer size a notch at a time.  If that doesn't help, you may try the free app "Preference Manager" from Digital Rebellion (dot com), to trash the LPX pref files.
