I have this problem too. did you find out what was causing it?
I believe this is Yosemite issue. After I updated to the latest Yosemite version, this error seemed to have vanished.
I am having the very same problem with the very same hardware. I am running Yosemite 10.10.1.
Please help 😟
UPDATE: The problem still persists. I am on the latest OSX 10.10.1. My mac just froze 2 mins ago with the same reason and I had to restart.
Apple needs to fix this ASAP.
Submitted a bug report: 19354374, not sure how much of a **** Apple gives.
We are now January, and I am having the same problem with my Mac. Fully updated Yosemite. Happens when running graphics intensive apps (iPhoto, Picasa or even Parallels). It seems like it must have something to do with the system driver software for the graphics switching. Not sure if it a question of a corruption of some file or setting or even permission, or whether it is a bug (of which there seem to be many - somewhat disappointing actually).
I am having the exact same problem, I am running a MacBook Pro(Retina, 15 inch, early 2013) with OSX Yosemite 10.10.1. It often happens when I am running parallels and am in my mac environment trying to do something like look at a browser or be on a Skype call. It is extremely frustrating as this is a work laptop and I'm often in the middle of something when it happens.
I Am having the same problem, and it's getting progressively worst😠.
Same problem here, and I've found other threads with similar problems on different MacBooks Pro.
This for me happens when I'm using Safari, and while I've found that removing Flash helps, that it's when the system is switching from integrated to discrete graphics. I've put in on a monitor program for the graphics switching which seems to confirm this. I see when it switches from on a certain website and it's when I'm on that website that it crashes, although it's happened on other websites too.
Also, when I used that software to set the graphics to the discrete graphics only I got twitching noises from the speakers before the machine crashed completely.
I've lost confidence in the Yosemite because I can't use the MacBook Pro to it's full extent.
I updated just yesterday to Yosemite 10.10.2, hoping that the issue would have been fixed. But my MacBook Pro just crashed again in the same way, but now the message about the graphics problems is not there any more. Is somebody else also experiencing this?
Apple, what have you done?
A possible workaround: Turn off automatic graphics switching in System Preferences, Energy Saver.
