Is there a shortcut for StrikeThrough in Pages?

I use it a lot and it would be very helpful. Thank you.

You can make one with little effort. The following is for Pages v5.2.2, but should also work for v5.5.1 on Yosemite.


Strikethrough is on the Format > Font submenu.


Quit Pages if presently running.


In System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts:

  • Press + to add a shortcut
  • Settings
    • Application: Pages
    • Menu Title: Strikethrough
    • Keyboard Shortcut: control S (appears as ^S on the Pages > Format > Font submenu)
    • Add
  • Quit System Preferences


Open your Pages document. Select the text to receive Strikethrough, and then press control S.
