Feb 28, 2015 8:13 PM in response to Ziatronby ChitlinsCC,You are very lucky if you have done that lately. BUSY, Busy, busy are most Stores. - I personally think that "browsing the Store while one waits" is a good marketing strategy, but apparently Apple's cost/benefit analyses prove otherwise.

Mar 1, 2015 10:45 AM in response to ChitlinsCCby deggie,Even if you have an appointment you have to check in and wait for a bit so maybe you are right and it is a good strategy. I take it you have access to Apple corporate analyses? Or are you just speculating on Apple policy?
In the past two months I've had no problem getting in early to see a Genius at the Southlake, Willow Bend and University village stores and there has not been near the traffic as before Christmas. Perhaps they need a new product.

- Not directly, but as an Apple Shareholder, I certainly expect
- Apple to do cost/benefit analyses on the most minute ("my newt" - English! whaddaya gonna do?) of decisions, and certainly on a sweeping change of policy that might affect my earnings - Genius Bar = "loss leader" & that is fine with me.
Perhaps they need a new product.

Mar 1, 2015 7:08 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby deggie,So 1 would be not at all. And 2 would be more blowing smoke? Or do you have access to inside information that Apple does this.
Was being sarcastic about the new product, even without inside information I know it was coming.

Seriously?
No smoke here, hombre. I answered your questions as any learned investor would... As an Apple shareholder, I expect them to do cost/benefit analysis of what color paper clips to use! If they didn't do C/B analysis of GB walk-ins to reservations, it would be p*** poor business management - and I think they are doing pretty well.

Mar 1, 2015 7:51 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby deggie,As a shareholder I would be appalled if they did a cost/benefit analysis of what color paper clips they use. Give that Mr. Jobs didn't buy into such management I seriously doubt they do so even with Mr. Cook now in charge. W. Pipeline in Bedford or Hurst?

Mar 1, 2015 8:31 PM in response to deggieby ChitlinsCC,sarcastic, facetious, .... we're getting a lot of the Humors in this repartee! Hurst, very near Bedford line. Ain't it strange how they cal the Tri-Cities Hurst-Euless-Bedford? H-E-B...- maybe the municipalities were coat-tailing HEB Food Stores?

Apr 26, 2015 2:09 PM in response to Frank Caggianoby k8gris,Yes, Frank, you're a genius for providing the Genius Bar answer. I was getting annoyed that I could not find a way to make an appointment. I've already tried support and want an in-person answer as I have multiple problems spanning multiple devices. Downloaded the app as you suggested and BOOM it's done. Thank you!

?? - kim, this is a good effort (don't stop contributing) - BUT - that path has 7 steps - 5 'choices' & 2 question 'answer fields'
IT IS, in fact, the most direct route to scheduling a PHONE CALL, a CHAT - OR - choosing a Genius reservation.
The most direct route to a Genius Reservation is the "Apple Store App" > Apple Store on the App Store on iTunes
On the web, start here for the path of least resistance > Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar < this path 'knows' that Genius reservation is your goal, rather than giving you other communication choices.
keep up the good work!
