Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 but when I connect my camera a message appears telling it's not compatible with the operating system?

Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 and when I have checked for software updates there are none available. I've downloaded the Canon software, connected to my mac via the cable and followed the instructions in the manual. Sadly I just get a message saying it's not compatible with the operating system. I've tried inserting the memory card into the mac to and it doesn't seem to see it. Can anyone help please?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Camera RAW ≠ Camera driver, the RAW update is for the .CR2 canon raw image file (in your case) compatibility.

What happens when you try to import photos using Image Capture or iPhoto?

Can you take a screenshot of the error message?

I always prefer and recommend using memory card import over using the camera.

Thank you chattphotos. I downloaded software updates from the Canon website, took a while, but now my camera is linking with my mac and I can retrieve photos from the camera using both Canon software and iPhotos - phew. Thank again. Roz
