Q: Did Yosemite update 10.10.1 rearrange all the icons in your launchpad?

Did Yosemite update 10.10.1 rearrange all the icons in your launchpad like it did for me?

(good thing i didn't have 5 pages of apps perfectly organized.... oh wait ... i did...lol)

Launchpad doesn't appear to be arranged by date, alphabetical, or any other rhyme or reason that i can tell, but now the icons are all in different spots and pages. The only thing i did was update to 10.10.1.

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)

2.7 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

Yosemity 10.10.1

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

The launchpad is part of the dock component and needs to be rebuilt, luckily this is very easy.

Hold the option key and choose Library from the Go menu, then trash the files inside the Dock folder.

They are here: user/Library/Application Support/Dock

Empty the trash

Then log out, they will be rebuilt on login.
