I just bought a free sim iphone 6 from carphone warehouse. I read this "SIM free iPhones can only be used with a UK-network SIM card, and will not accept foreign SIM cards." When I get back to my country I would can use my iphone?

Hi Stephroll

Where did you get this information from? From the meaning of the term SIM free (type 'what does SIM free means' in google), it is supposed to be open to all network. Why would it get locked to the first SIM provider I use it with? I mean, it doesn't make sense to me. So, I am just trying to learn the source of this information.

Kind regards,

Carphone Warehouse's website says

'SIM free phones are sold without any SIM card or network attached to them. Normally, people buy the phone and then choose a SIM only deal for their calls and data. All of our SIM free phones come unlocked, so you can choose whichever network you like – just remember that if it’s an iPhone it will lock to the first network you use it with, while Samsung Galaxy phones have to be used in the UK.'

(My emphasis.)
