Dec 11, 2014 5:35 AM in response to F-Krugerby Esquared,This is not a software issue. The graphics processor of your MBP is failing. No amount of reinstalling different versions of Mac OS X will cure it.

Dec 17, 2014 2:20 PM in response to misterossby b df fbgbgbrsfv,This is totally unacceptable. I have the same issue. It started to do this recently and of course is outside of the eligibility period. I took it to the genius bar and it failed their test but they simply said pay $700 odd Australian dollars to have it fixed or buy a new one. I used to be an advocate for apple but this has really put me off the company. All that needed to happen was to make a justified exception to the recall programme based on my Mac not exhibiting symptoms until mavericks/ after recall programme. Very disappointed. My negative feelings generated from this bad customer service will be worth well over $700 to apple.

Dec 27, 2014 5:47 AM in response to misterossby RussiaRussia023,This!
I was refused service two months ago.
Reasons being my macbook was older than 3 years (way to treat early adapters who buy top of the line computers from you) and because I am not the original buyer, how does that even matter? The issue only became apparent after I installed Yosemite, upgrading from Snow Leopard.
And the sad thing is there was a software fix that solved the issue for many people, it was removed after Lion. Almost seems as if Apple did this on purpose so that people would be forced to pay for a repair. The most expensive repair you can buy that is, what a coincidence. -_-'
Bad Apple!!
MacBook Pro (15-inch, medio 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) 2,66 GHz Intel Core i7

Jan 11, 2015 1:54 PM in response to misterossby imseeker,I started experiencing this problem in the last couple of months on my Macbook Pro 6.2
Appears the computer knew that Apple was ending this "fixit program" - now I'm out of luck, it appears.
-
Feb 4, 2015 9:48 AM in response to misterossby Alphaking,Doesn't go away. Tried all the os versions clean installs all the way back to Lion.
The problem started with Mavericks (naturally after the 3 years lapsed) and became frequent with upgrade to Yosemite. Since then I've tried going back to 10.6 with a clean install but the problem now surprisingly exists in the ancient version too.

Oct 13, 2015 4:14 PM in response to misterossby terydeb,Is the symptom of this either a double reboot or a complete system freeze? I've had both happen since I installed Yosemite, though I did not have either problem before. And my error log looks like the one above.
