Q: Safari memory issue/leak?

Awesome...can't even insert the screenshot I took to show the issue. Maybe Safari doesn't like seeing criticism of itself? Is it self aware?

So anyway, Macbook Pro (late 2011, 17") computer became incredibly unresponsive last night so I checked the Activity Monitor and the memory usage was extreme. I shutdown Safari and restarted it and the memory usage was again low. By morning (12 hours later) the memory usage was back up.

The offending website is www.wowhead.com. Various pages open - 5 in total. Memory and Compressed memory showed: 5.10 GB, 4.83 GB, 3.39 GB, 2.87 GB & 2.28 GB per page by the morning. Between 100 and 200 MB when first opened.

Either, the website is doing something rude and it isn't being stopped by Safari, Safari is not behaving or Norton Internet Security/Antivirus is not behaving.

Not sure it's too big an issue for me. I just have to remember to leave all wowhead pages after looking at them. Happy to hear any solutions though.

Scott.

PS: Don't pick on me for running Norton's

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)
