DL Toast Mac OS Error -5001

Hi,

When i burn a double layer DVD+R with Toast i always have this error message at the last burning step (lead-out) :

*** Couldn't complete the last command because of a MacOS Error. Result Code = -5001 ****

I'm using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I've tried burning from an image file that I formatted out of DVDSP and I've tried burning a UDF from the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders I built from the DVDSP project. Same problem with both. The reason for me doing this is to burn a 1x copy as my master. Does anyone know what's going on here? Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue, burned 4 coasters in a row last week (from the same project) and the fifth time it worked.

I went through all the steps (repaired permissions and so forth). I may have also rebuilt the project along the way because I think there was a strange permission happening on the file. FWIW even without the lead out being completed the discs still played on my set top player, tried it after the first few coasters. So may be the lead out was completed (but I would not recommend this)

What you may want to try is download batChmod and apply the permissions/privileges to the build folder

I narrowed it down to bad media, the permissions and/or my cable power was flaky. I know, not a great answer, but it means that your burner probably is still working and you can still burn the DVDs.
