I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are having issues with photo rotation, you may want to make sure that your iPhone is detecting the orientation when you take the photos. In iOS 7 and iOS 8, the top menu text when taking a photo should rotate to show orientation (the bottom menu stays oriented to the shutter button). You can see these menus on the following page:

If your iPhone isn't sensing rotation for pictures, you may want to check to see if the Rotation Lock is engaged, as noted here:

If you are using the front camera you see a mirror image but when you take a photo the resulting image is left-right reversed to show a true image as others would see it. This is normal.


if you wish your photo to be a mirror image for some reason then there are several apps which will do this by right-left reversing the photo. For example, check out Photo Editor.
