App Store indicates there's an HP Printer update 3.0 and it won't go away. It has been downloaded and installed a half dozen times.

Hey !
Highlight it in the Software Update window. In the "Update" menu choose "Ignore Update" and it should not show again on your list.

Exactly. There's no highlighting the update and no menu command to ignore the update. I'm not sure what version of OS he's referring to. Any other ideas out there?
This doesn't seem to work with 10.10.1 What version of OS are you talking about?
This did not solve my question. I'm not sure why Apple is saying "Solved". Their tech support couldn't figure out the problem.
