Apple hasn't sold unlocked phones yet, so whatever prices you see on the website is what it is.

$749 plus local sales tax, which will typically be between 6% and 10% (NYC is 8 3/4%).

I found that price on the Apple website for the T-Mobile contract-free phone.

Note that a phone purchased in the USA will not support LTE in most other countries, and it must be returned to the USA if it needs service or warranty support.
