When using Airplay and mirroring the picture on the TV only fills about half of the screen? also the sound level is low so I need to turn up the tv volume
But when the adverts appear the sound volume booms out brcause of the high level set but the picture fills the screen.
I have seen some mention of video settings but how do you adjust them to fill the screen with the mirrored image.

Hi The problem starts when I use BBC I Player or ITv ans similar players.
The picture on my screen is far smaller than expected with black border, also the sound level is reduced.
But when adverts appear the screen fills and the volume sets back to normal but when the program starts again after the adverts the picture gets smaller and the sound level drops.
This sounds to me as though it's the content itself that is causing that. Is this an old TV series or something, could it have been created in 4:3 aspect ratio.
No its not the content, if that was the case the sound level would not reduce but remain the same.
I have tried live TV streaming and itv and bbc players but still cant get a full picture until the ads on itv player then I get full Screen and increased sound levels
Without seeing what you are watching I couldn't say one way or another, however you are quite wrong to expect the volume of the adverts and the main content to be the same, each has their own soundtrack which is independent of the other, this includes the volume.
