Does anyone have a recipe page layout?
I would like to create either a book, or a number of pages with favourite family recipes.
Does anyone have one or can you refer me to a site where I may copy one?
Thankyou
Jim

So you are saying your bookshelf looks like this:
I think I see the problem!
Laying out a recipe page is not difficult.
It consists of a Recipe Name, a photo, a list of ingredients, a list of instructions and some comments.
Often not even all those, and certainly not rocket science.
Take a sample recipe, lay it out like a recipe you have seen somewhere and save that as a Template.
As Jamie Oliver points out it is faster to make your own Pizza (the way you like it) than to order it, with someone making it using dubious ingredients, and then driving it around to your place.
Sometimes you just have to not automatically choose the inconvenient "Convenience" option.
If you can't do that you probably can't cook either, so a moot point.

Try the iWorkCommunity website, various free templates for Pages, the link below should take you to the recipe templates...

EDIT: Apologies Peter I just saw you had already suggested iWorkCommunity!
That Microsoft is a real problem, eh? Had to sign up for some sort of $10 per month membership, and still am unable to download any templates from the Microsoft recipe Cookbook. Isn't there anything on the Apple side I might use>
Peter:
I've tried them all. The closest might be "Recipes" from the App Store but I would like to see the layout for a recipe, to see if it would work for me, and get a little more information about creating my own book, which they suggest I could do. I have written them for assistance, but no reply as yet.
My bookshelf looks a little different. Oh, wait! Your books are all upside down. Because you are in Australia I suppose.
I wanted a template which I could copy, duplicate many times, and onto which I would add my favourite recipes. Then, after organizing them on my Mac, I would either print them or send them off to be printed.
The closest I have come is "Cook'n" from DVO Enterprises. They want $75 for it (don't know if that is US, Cdn, Aus or HK $) but whatever, free, would be better.
Thanks for your interest.
Jim
Find a Word template and open that or try:
And the Mac App Store
Peter
Thank you Peter. It is nice to know I am not alone!
Jim, in Canada, eh?
Thank you, Don.
I'll get to work downloading templates in the morningl.
Jim, up in Canada, eh?
Google search: recipe template MS Word
First hit is Microsoft Recipe Cookbook template that is for Word 2003 or later.
Did you follow the links above and also look in the App Store?
Peter
How much support can you expect for the few dollars they charge for these templates?
Just grab the nearest design and modify it to your own needs. Or design your own from a sample book.
Peter
I'd love a sample book! Any idea where I might find one online?
