how do I convert old m4p music files to m4a files?
I have old m4p music files that won't play on my phone (not an iphone). How do I convert the files to m4a?

Those are protected files from the early days of the iTunes Store when music had DRM. Unfortunately, they're locked to the original purchase AppleID and can only be played in iTunes or the Music app of an iOS device.
