Mac Book color LCD display profile missing

Hi all,

the color profile for my MB color lcd just gone missing! I don't know exactly when it happened, but I remember a few days ago I noticed there was a little bit of color difference on the screen, I didn't pay too much attention to it. This morning I had a little time and try to see what's up with it and I found out that the factory color LCD profile is missing and osx is using the generic rgb profile and I can't even calibrate it, every time i click on the calibrate button in the display section under system preferences, i get an error saying that "the factory profile for the display could not be found."

can anyone show me where i can get my profile back?

Do you have fast user switching enabled? There is a bug in Tiger that makes the color profiles go all screwy if you use fast user switching, so that it appears as if the proper profiles have disappeared when they haven't.

The solution is to run this:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/C oreGraphics.framework/Versions/A/Resources/DMProxy

This only works until the machine is turned off. Once it's rebooted, run it again.
