How to remove personalized imprint from back of iPad?

The aluminum of the case is thin enough I can't say that I'd recommend it.

Chances are taking it out would mean buffing it out which would thin the aluminum in that area.

If you wish to hide the engraving put one of those simple silicone slipcases on it and you'll never even know it's there.

I should also add that buffing the engraving off might endanger your warranty since it could be defined as 'abuse or neglect'.

Since the inscription is engraved there isn't much that you can do that will look good. Check with a jeweler for advice.

Another solution would be to cover it with a decal--perhaps the Apple decal that came when the device was purchased. Any decal or skin would do the job.
