Finder App

The items described above, in your answer, are functions that the Finder has been doing for ages. What I want to know is why I am getting a notification when I start my Computer as to why I want to allow or deny the Finder app. Is that new to Yosemite?

I tried and it didn't seem to make any difference so I will call Apple support on Friday. Thank you for your help.

I spoke with Apple Support regarding the above notification and was informed that I should “allow” the Finder.App to receive income connections; however, it was unusual to receive that notification each time I start the computer. The representative believed it to be a "querk" in my computer. The Apple Tech representative had me test the computer holding down the “shift” key on startup and also restarting while holding down the “option” key on startup. With regard to holding down the “option” key, he had me check on “10-10” and then verify the hard disk and also to repair the disk and disk permissions. (“10-10” is the Yosemite sofeware.) All the tests showed that my computer was operating as it should. After his tests my computer no longer has the "notification" pop up on startup. The problem has been corrected.
