How do I stop popup ads and apps that redirect to app store automatically on safari on ipad air?

The popup disabler is switched on but does nothing to help the problem. Also, when I go to some sites, ads automatically redirect me to the app store. Apple should definitely not allow any app in their store to have popups or to redirect people there. I would never buy anything that used a technique that was so invasive and distrbing. Please HELP get these off my ipad!!!!! and stop them from working on Safari. PLEASE!!!!

iPad Air, iOS 8.1.1

In my experience things like appfly replace all links on a webpage (I.e. A next page button or homepage hyperlink) with an advert redirect.

From what I can tell this is being done through JavaScript so going Settings > Safari > advanced settings > then setting java to off will prevent these redirects from embedding themselves into the site you're browsing.

Here is an example of a site that redirects:

http://engine.trklnks.com/

and another

http://appfly.mobi/appwall/c36df1c8-6b8e-11e4-bc6b-00259058a2f6/?subid=f63ab0c6- c2a3-4446-a284-27a05d0ca0e0

And when I repeatedly try to get to the site I am trying to see and x out of the ad, then I get a notice that there has been a repeated problem with no suggestion for a solution! I know there is a problem Apple; how about you fix the problem!!!!???

I have the same problem. I read on another forum where a user apparently found out that the problem was caused by his router being hacked. So I changed the SSID, I even set it to non-broadcast, and the password of my router. The problem was resolved immediately....for about a week. @#$%&!

I went through this process 2 more times with the same result. OK for about a week then the redirects return. It's almost like whatever is doing it has a hacking program imbedded in specific web sites OR SAFARI that takes about a week to decode the new SSID and Passwords. This problem only occurs from one particular Korean Drama video streaming web site. The problem has not popped up on other similar sites streaming the same shows.

I am now using Chrome instead of Safari...and so far so good! But, this is only a work-around. Someone please find the root-cause and fix it!

On apple Device.

Goto settings/Safari

Turn on Block Pop-ups

Block Cookies/ From third parties and advertisers.

Goto Settings/General/Restrictions.

Passcode will be 0000 if you have not set one.

Goto Websites/Limit Adult Content

Bottom of screen add these links to block them.

hastrk2.com
http://www.mobileapptracking.com/
http://www.tictacti.com/
This will stop most of the redirecting, as soon as one site is blocked by too many people they use another one.
