Why does my wifi turn off at the same time every night?

HI, my wifi turns off at the same time every night. At around 5 or 6:00 at night i dont know why it does this but i really would like it to stop i have the IOS 6.1.6 update i think i have the gerneration four but im not to sure, and when i updated my ipod it deleted my favorite app of all time the original youtube app that looks like an old TV. can some one PLEASE tell me how to fix these irritating issues

Does it come back on again? IF so, when? What brand of router do you have? I would check your router. Some routers have this ability, my Linksys does. I can set time periods for the Wi-Fi to turn off/on to disallow access to the internet.

MY device is the only one is the house that does this. There are about 4 other devices that hook up to the same wifi, I've noticed it comes back on at around 3:00AM and once again my device is the only one that turns off at a certain time

Do you have MAC filtering turned on for the router. If so, then you can determine individual devices denied access during times. Otherwise, what troubleshooting have you done on the device?

Let me check something here. You say it turns off, do you mean you no longer see the Wi-Fi signal fan in the status bar? What other reason makes you believe that Wi-Fi is turned off? If you look in the status bar when this happens, do you see any different icons there that you do not see when the Wi-Fi is on?

No, it still says that I have connection and i still have the blue check mark but it does not let me do anything. Like send iMessage or Skype or FaceTime or go online so it doesn't let me do anything but it says its still connected. And when I disconnect and try to reconnect it does not do it

I am not aware of any blocks that can be put on the device itself. I would still investigate logging into your router and see if there are some restrictions for that particular device.

By the way my Wi-Fi router is connected to a Windows 7 Computer and its a Verizon Wi-Fi connecter. Also when I come home after 5:00PM it refuses to connect, but when I'm home and 5:00PM passed the blue connection check mark never goes away, but my device doesn't let me do anything that would need Wi-Fi.

Hi, my name is Bow. Once it turns "Off", go to your WiFi settings and see if you can connect. If you can, I hope its better! If not, go into your internet settings on your IPod (Hit the internet you want to join,) and scroll down and you will see HTTP PROXY. If its not already, put it on Auto... and renew your lease. If this keeps happening, I refer to upgrading your IPod, and/or calling and talking to your internet provider, Thank you!

The Wi-Fi on my device has already turned off for the night. I am very desperate to get it fixed because its very frustrating to be in the middle of an important conversation and then have my Wi-Fi suddenly not work. please help! this is so frustrating, and my mom wont give me the password so I can forget the network and re-enter the password. Thanks so much.

Renewing the Lease did nothing

Messing around with the Wi-Fi controls did nothing since I have no idea what I need to do with it to fix this.

P.S. is there anyway to find the password to the Wi-Fi from the controls on the computer so I can try and forget the network and re-enter the password? Thank You.

As asked before, one can configure the rout to limit internet connection at a set schedule. You can do that with individual devices by only having it apply to one device using the unique MAC address of that device.

Also, could interference be causing the problem? It is not unusual for an electrical device running at a set schedule causing such a problem
