Can't buy or update apps in AppStore

I Have an iPad, not sure which kind, but I have not updated to iOS 8 or whatever the most recent updated were. I think it's because of this that whenever I try to update an app, it would just bring me to the app and open it. Also, I can't buy any apps, whenever I click 'GET' it just keeps circling like it is trying to install it.

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

Start with this. Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Restart your iPad and then go back and sign in again.

One other thing to check is, make sure that you have enough space to download the apps or the updates. I discovered this little issue quite by accident when my daughter was having the same issue. You can check your storage in Settings>General>Usage>Storage.

Something is corrupting the stores for some reason. Close all apps, reset the iPad and try again. If that doesn't work, reset all settings.

In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If that didn't work .... Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

Dont b such a troll Demo. I don't work for you nor do i work for Apple. they were having website issues in my area regardless of what your website said this is the first time I was able to get on their site since earlier today.

Regarding specifics well first, I could not rent any movies and when I did the buffering was terrible when we called and asked if there was a problem they said yes and gave us a free rental.

Second, when I was on earlier the reply window had 'code' in it and the cursor was delayed while I typed from my MBA 13" (Early 2014) i7, 8 GB RAM, 256 SSD, Intel HD Graphics 5000, OS 10.10.1.

I had app store issues, as usual, I tried to watch a purchased movie from the cloud and couldn't. Called Apple again and they said they were having a few isolated problems. Called my ISP and everything there was okay. Turned my MBA off and then on again did not help. turned my iTV off and back on after five minutes and it did not help. Deleted the app, hard booted my iPhone 6, 4.7" iOS 8.1.1, and then tried to reinstall the app and it did not help. Called Apple again and they assured me that they are working on it. Then I used my wives MBA 13", (Early 2014) i7, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, intel HD Graphics 5000, OS 10.10.1 and the same issues using her log in name. None of our family, of 5, iPhone 6, 4.7" 8.1.1 could update any of our apps. I was having Enterprise issues too. I could not update my employees iPads and iMacs, OS X Server, Apple Remote Desktop, Apple Configurator.

Then around 5pm. EST I received a courtesy call from Apple and everything was fine. It does happen, it did happen and please next time you make a statement like, "Something is corrupting the stores for some reason." please give more details as to what device and version of iOS or OS or PC. and could you be a little more specific regarding what "something" is? After that statement I was concerned that I was having all these issues due to your statement of "Something was Corrupting the stores. I was afraid I had received a corrupted file through the Apple online store. But after talking to my IT team they assured me that my System was secure and what ever issues Apple is having is not impacting my equipment. What a long Sunday for me. I believe you may have meant that iOS 8.1.1 is full of bugs and right now Apple is simply patching instead of fixing. Regarding OS 10.10.1 well there was another update Friday fixing some more stabilization issues too. I would also reframe from using theories too. Thank you and have a good day!

Wow. I'm sorry that you had such a bad day. Do you feel better now?

A Simple "I was in touch with Apple support today about ..... And the tech confirmed that they were experiencing problems in .... Would have sufficed. Just something to backup what you were claiming was all that I meant.

And my remark about something was corrupting the stores wasn't a general statement meant for you. I was referring to something on Pepsichic's iPad, a setting, a corrupt app.... This discussion had nothing to do with you or your problems.

No, Demo, I think Noyb234 is right, you are a bit bossy and still very vague about "something". sounds more like a grasp in the dark more like a theory, then knowledge. If you were referring to that persons device, as you stated, why not just say that. Like, "I think that something might be corrupt, like an app, or setting on your iPad.". No you were pretty specific about something was corrupt in the STORES. I thought the same thing. It was a bit misleading. regardless that is like, why Apple doesn't like people to use theories in here and why are you so pushy? Yes you help people with really easy stuff and then you attack people for no reason. even after Noyb234 did exactly as YOU ask you then stated He COULD of just done this or that. Noyb was not exact enough, you snap at them, and then when Noyb was more specific you attack what they say? You are a bit bossy for sure. I agree with noyb they do not work for you nor does anyone else in here, well maybe you do. you are here to HELP people and since you have such a large amount of points people do take what you say for the gospel. but that person was having the same problem that the iOS has been having for a really long time and it would have been far better to have told them, that, instead there is "something" corrupt in the stores 'for' some reason. yeah that "corrupt" is iOS 8.1.1 and not the "stores" but their iPad... Dude lighten up! It is too close to the holidays to be telling folks what to do and making false statements. I really like you and gave you points as has a lot of people. you don't need to be so rude... There are rules in this community and personally attacking someone is not tolerated as is bullying as you do seem to do to Noyb and others. they simply made a factual statement. Apple was having a lot of online issues over the weekend. FACT. I could not log in at all over the weekend. After the Mac update I start to have problems logging into the support site sounds like something is "corrupt" in the "community sites", or There may have been something wrong with the OS or iOS. I leaning more towards the award winning iOS 8.1.1 and OS 10.10.1 that are buggy as ticks. ciao and Happy holiday... yanks!
