Getting 'filter' failed on Artisan 835 Printer. Yosemite . All updated. tried uninstalling and reinstalling printer.

Done all that. Printer shows that it is active and idle, but when I go to print it still says filter failed.
when you say "... done all that ..." - does that mean just the stuff in the link in the post to which you a replying? What about the other post I made that quotes an error message?

I on't know how to do screenshots. It just says "filter" failed, when I try to print. Nothing to do with rastertoescpll - I don't know what that is.
the exact wording of the error is important... take your time and copy it down on paper then type it in your reply.
the screenshot is important in that it can give us more to go on as it shows the whole screen
To take a screenshot, read the instructions here OS X Yosemite: Take pictures of the screen - you can get this same info from the Finder's Help Menu > Mac Help ⌘? > { search for " screenshot ", choose 'Shortcuts for taking pictures of the screen' }
To get the screen ready, recreate a print job as you normally would. When the error comes up, take a picture of the Entire Screen as you learned in the linked document or Mac Help article. Insert the screenshot by clicking the camera tool above
Thank you for your help. Now I know how to take a screen shot. I had an even bigger problem with my computer and at this point I am waiting for the "Mac" man to come and look at it.
OK... while the MacGuy is there, don't forget to get him to check on your printing problem. Let us know if we need to keep at it.

I have the same issue since the update. I've printed successfully to this printer before. I've deleted and reinstalled the printer. It starts to spool the job (image #1) then stops with the "filter" failed error message (image #2). Problem seems to be widespread with many printers from what I see in the forum.
Connecting the printer via USB rather than wirelessly solved the problem for me. Who knew?
