How do I make a document stretch out to fill a page in Numbers?

I am use to excel, where you can tell it to have the spreadsheet stretch and fill the entire page. I cannot figure out how to do this with Numbers. When I am in the print preview screen, I have hit the fit button, but sometimes that will cause the document to go onto a separate page. If I try to shrink down the % of the size, then it no longer fills the entire page.

Also, how do I have my spreadsheet go in the center of the page when printing?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Hi J,

Numbers 3 has lost the Print View and Layout View of Numbers 2. We are stuck with Print Preview with limited editing ability.

Under the Fit button in Print Preview is a Stepper box for %. Type a number (I think there is a maximum of 175%).

To centre a table on a page, the Alignment Guides will help:

Numbers > Preferences > Rulers > Alignment Guides. Tick every box. The Guides do not print.

Menu > View > Show Rulers.

See this User Tip on creating a Layout Guide in Numbers 3:
