Q: Disapeared folder

A folder (with hundreds of archives) disapeared from my MacBook Pro. It was located in Desktop, and now it isn't anywhere (it is not in trash!)

I'll try to recover it from my time machine, but I'd like to know what can have caused the problem.

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63). 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7/ 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Did you try a Spotlight search? You may have simply moved it.

Yes, I tried. It's nowhere!! I looked for files that were in the folder, and they are nowhere too!!!) I found in my Timemachine backup the folder (updated a week ago...)
But this is really weird!!!

Then I would restore the older copy from your Time Machine backup.
