Can I connect a (scsi) Syquest EZ Drive(zip discs)?

I have searched and read the threads available here but am still not sure about what I can do and can't do.

I have a new Mac Pro and I have a Syquest EZ Drive (uses 100MG Zip Discs). Is there a way to connect this to the MacPro? It appears to be the 50Pin type. I want to use them for communication with friends who only have Zip Disks.
Thanks.

MacPro (wow), Mac OS X (10.4.7), also 10.3.9 on G4desk and Powerbook G4

Ned.
Can you say that another way? I didn't quite follow you.
By the way, what this is about is that I resurrected my old Power Mac 8600/250, with the intention of giving it to a friend. Once I got playing with it I remembered how truly cool it was (is). Very many ports for audio and video in and out. Anyway, I decided to try and make more use of it. It has what I believe are two types of ethernet ports (AAUI and 10Base-T ethernet connectors on back of computer). But I have not been successful connecting from these to the router I use with my Mac Pro. Hence, my interest in getting the Mac Pro to read the Zip disks the 8600 so happily handles.
Blah, blah, blah. (I have time on my hands).

Then, from that equipment burn it to CD else connect it to your network to then file share the data.

Easier said than done. I have not yet figured out how to get the 8600 networked. I mentioned that it has two types of ethernet ports (AAUI and 10Base-T ethernet). But I have not been successful connecting from these to the router I use with my Mac Pro. I'm not savy enough to fully understand the AAUI and 10Base-T requirements, but I'm searching, reading and trying.

The 8600 is running OS 9.2. I might be able to bump it up to X.
I am goingt o try connecting to a separate router and see if that helps.
A couple of things I'm not clear about: how do I know if it supports 10MB ethernet connections? What is an RJ-45 Ethernet connection? Also, I didn't fully understand the recommendation to add a memory card reader. Finally, adding a USB Zip might be feasible. I need to price one, and make sure the disks are compatible.
Thanks all.
