Nov 24, 2014 12:36 PM in response to rbrylawskiby peejay5410,Yes, I did....but have it in a Speck case. Do you think that may be the problem?
-
Nov 24, 2014 12:38 PM in response to peejay5410by rbrylawski,It could be. To see, take the phone out of the Speck case and make a call to see if people can hear you clearly. If they can, then you know the case is the culprit.

Nov 24, 2014 1:09 PM in response to peejay5410by bknauss,★HelpfulMy wife and I have both had the same problem since getting our iPhone 6's. People can't hear us at all or we are all garbled. Many times we have to hang up and tried it again. It probably happens 1 out of every 4 calls for us. It is very annoying. I have tried doing resets and everything.
This could just be one of the many issues with the iPhone 6's and not your case.

Dec 9, 2014 1:20 PM in response to peejay5410by peejay5410,Nothing has been resolved. I still have the same problem. With or without the case, some callers say they can't hear me. So frustrated. I love everything about my iPhobe 6 except using it as a PHONE!

Dec 10, 2014 1:29 PM in response to peejay5410by Firesqr_geek,Just got closer to completing the long endless phone swap and activation for the company I work for. Now I am hearing that some people are having issues with their iPhone 6. Sounding garbled or dropping calls. Inside building repeater system providing the phones with almost full signal. Otterbox Defender cases on all of those 87 devices. 8 people complaining of this already. Need help before I have 87 people complaining. Thanks.

Dec 11, 2014 3:17 PM in response to peejay5410by peejay5410,★Helpful
I just found out that this MAY be a specific issue with AT&T in WI and IL. The AT&T engineers are working on a fix for this issue. The work around temporarily is to go to Settings, Cellular, then change 'Enable LTE' to 'Data Only'. You can still use the internet while on a call, but it may be slightly slower than if the 'Voice & Data' is selected. No ETA on a fix from AT&T. I certainly hope this solves my problem!!! I'll keep you posted. -
Dec 12, 2014 10:55 AM in response to peejay5410by thejonagold,★HelpfulExtra info for Apple:
It's not just AT&T, nor just WI and IL. I have AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon users on the iPhone 6, iOS8 with the exact same issue in MN. iPhone 5 users on iOS8 are NOT experiencing this, only the 6. Cases on or off doesn't make a difference. My personal 6 is on the latest iOS rev, and AT&T, and it too is bad. Sprint users seem to have the worst of it though- almost every call to a Sprint iP6 is bad.

Dec 13, 2014 2:35 PM in response to thejonagoldby bcwalks2,Where did you both find this information about the bad calls. I am on AT&T and located near Chicago and have my calls break up to the point where I have to call them back. Again, I can hear them perfectly, although they cannot hear me.

Jan 10, 2015 3:38 PM in response to peejay5410by mogil411,★HelpfulHi has anybody had any resolution to this problem? I've already swapped out my new iPhone 6 for a new one due to people not being able to hear me (breaking up, garbled) when I use the phone in my house. The new phone is doing the same thing! So frustrating. Was on with support for 2 hours yesterday trying everything. We did the ATT carrier update and it seemed the issue was fixed. Very next phone call the call started out fine then after one minute the caller was telling me they couldn't hear me that I was breaking up. So annoying. Others in my house have iphone 4 & 5 and they work perfectly fine only the 6 has this issue.

Jan 15, 2015 4:43 PM in response to peejay5410by mogil411,★Helpfulpeejay5410 I went to my Apple Store today and the tech did just that: Settings then Cellular then enable LTE and chooses Off. My phone now operates off 4G and is working Perfectly!! No more broken up calls inside my house. Tech said ATT's new LTE network has tons of dead spots n he thought that might be causing my problem and he was right! So happy!!!
