Should I unplug after charging to 100%?
Hello,
I was wondering, once a MacBook Pro is charged to 100% should it be unplugged, or is it fine to just continue working using the power cord and basically the system completely halts the recharging process?
The lightning bolt does not go away when 100% charge is reached, which is why I am asking (it looks like it is still charging ... even if it isn't?).
I suppose I am wondering if the battery's chemical makeup is negatively affected by charging for too long (after 100% is reached), or too often ... for example is it ideally better for battery life to let the charge fall under a certain percentage like 20% before plugging in?
Basically I am wondering any specific tips to get the longest life out of the computer's battery ... both it's duration each time it is unplugged, plus it's overall working life, as I would imagine certain little do's & don'ts may add up over time maybe?
Kind regards,
Mike
