Q: Why does OS X Yosemite not recognize my Kindle Fire HD?
I recently upgraded to the OS X Yosemite on my MacBook Pro 13" and I love this new operating system. It's so sleek!
However, I noticed that when I connected my Kindle Fire HD through USB connection to my Mac, my Kindle wasn't recognised.
Andriod File Transfer did recognise the Kindle but I cannot transfer any files. Therefore, it is only offering information what I currently have on my Kindle.
I assume this a problem with OS X Yosemite and can anyone offer me any help on this matter?

I discovered that the cable I was using was a charging only cable that came with another device. Changed over to a full cable and it now works. I didn't know I had any of those and will be marking it as such.
