I cannot receive emails on my iPad/phone since last updTe

I Have stopped receiving emails on my iPad and iPhone 5s since the last update, I have tried changing settings, I have deleted the account and reinstalled it, I have phoned sky to check my email account is ok, which it is, I can receive emails on my old iPhone 4 which hasn't been updared, I have also reset my iPad but nothing works, in the Mail settings the sent box is ticked in the fetch new data box and it won't untick, that is the only difference I can figure out, please help

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.1, Also iPad 2
