I do have a system which is completely laggy only after hours of usage; works fine after reboot. I already installed my Mac once again. Did I install things I should not ? Tried reset SMC, PRAM.

Thanks for advising.

    TotalFinder was NOT your issue.

One issue everyone keeps missing is that you too many apps launching at Login/startup.

You need to pare these down to six or less items.

    Add or remove automatic items

    1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
    2. Select your user account, then click Login Items.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • Click Add below the list on the right, select an app, document, folder, or disk, then click Add.

If you don’t want an item’s windows to be visible after login, select Hide. (Hide does not apply to servers, which always appear in the Finder after login.)

      • Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click Delete below the list on the right.

Also, have you updated all of your installed software to Yosemitecompatible versions?

Have you updated all of Web Browser Internet plugins and extensions?

If you have any third party devices (other than external hard drives) connected to yourMac, have you updated any of the device drivers by going to each device maker's website and going to their respective support and downloads sections of their websites?

Novice users always forget when you do a major system upgrade, it affects ALL installled software currently installed.

    Hi Michel,

Thanks for your answer. I thought that TotalFinder was not my issue as I'm using it for years and didn't notice any lags or slowness as now, completely up to date and I'm probably not the only one who is using it, anyway, I tried, and observed that my mac was still slow (I mean the frame per second decreases hours after hours - windows get slow). But I tried. About the automatic items, I already removed everything I could (after the recommandation from Lex).

I'm trying to have all my apps completely up to date as I know there might have some compatibility issues with Yosemite. As said previously, I see a decrease of the FPS of my graphic card (the internal chips) from 60 to around 20-30 FPS after hours of usage. Perhaps Yosemite does not like my MacBook Pro Retina and 2 external monitors connected on it.

    Again thanks for your help.

    Hi Michel,

Your post was superfluous: everything was said in my first post in this thread.

Nobody condemned TotalFinder as the cause: Linc commented to remove Kuvva and TotalFinder. I commented that TotalFinder is not a very good software and it does not have a competent uninstaller, it does not help anything for your workload.

Removing the entries in the LoginItems was also said in my first post.
