Dec 15, 2014 4:15 PM in response to Joeyfromalbuquerqueby Greg Schremp,Hey Joe! Having the same issue. I think it is because the OSX sees the printers as the same..even if I rename them DNP DS40 1 and DNP DS40 2.

Dec 16, 2014 7:06 PM in response to Joeyfromalbuquerqueby carlosapenaii,I've had the same problem. Has anyone been able to figure out how to fix this issue? I sent an email to DNP but I've had no response regarding the issue.

Dec 16, 2014 7:32 PM in response to Joeyfromalbuquerqueby propagandi,Yeah...did some more tests and always prints to the same printer even when both are renamed and setup separately then pooled. Would love to get an answer. DNP says that Apple has broken the printer setup in Yosemite. It seems that OSX can tell the printers apart. Same make, same model.

Dec 19, 2014 11:24 AM in response to propagandiby jinspin,So can you print to multiple DS40 printers at same time with Yosemite?
Any other problems with DS40 and Yosemite that I should know about before upgrading to Yosemite?

Dec 19, 2014 3:44 PM in response to jinspinby Greg Schremp,No..I setup the printers and they want to be one. Tried them as one as well, but still only send to the same printer. Only turning off that printer will allow the other to be used. I setup a Printer Pool and still only uses one. Haven't tried on Mavericks or prior...does it print to both on that OS X? The OS seems to not allow for more than two printers of the same make and model. Software like the PC printer hot folder is needed on the mac.
Color is perfect. Speed seems to be a little slower than expected, but that is probably from the os. You have to call DNP support for the Yosemite Beta driver.
I am confident it will get fixed, but how long will it take.

Dec 25, 2014 3:01 PM in response to Joeyfromalbuquerqueby jinspin, anyone got ds40 working correctly on yosemite?
just got ds40 but running into problems running in yosemite 10.10.1
it is taking around 12 seconds to print which is more than advertised 8.9 seconds.
And then if i try to print bunch of pics one after another - it is pausing like 5 seconds in between each print.
So it is taking 50 seconds to make just 3 prints.
Anyone seeing similiar results?
Very disappointed so far for such expensive printer..

Dec 29, 2014 9:18 AM in response to jinspinby Greg Schremp,I used them on an on-site printing job and only one printed. That one, being a little slower than advertise (prob the printing software), still kept up. Smaller crowd though. I am assuming that there is a battle going on between Apple and printer manufacturers based on the changes to the printer setup. Have you asked for the Beta printer driver from DNP?

Dec 29, 2014 9:49 AM in response to Greg Schrempby jinspin,I just called and they are looking into it. They said the printer driver beta for yosemite is usually only when it does not print anything.
So I am waiting to hear back from them.
This is frustrating - it is more expensive but slower than my other printer I have.

Dec 29, 2014 11:50 AM in response to Greg Schrempby jinspin,I got beta driver for yosemite and it prints fine now. There is no 5 second pause in between prints.
Printer status still says offline when you turn it off and back on but it still prints ok.

Dec 29, 2014 12:15 PM in response to jinspinby carlosapenaii,How did you get a hold of this beta driver and can you share it with us? Also did this beta driver allow multiple ds40's to be connected and print at the same time?

Dec 29, 2014 1:23 PM in response to carlosapenaiiby Greg Schremp,I contacted DNP support and had to sign a NDA. Helped with the flakiness but not with the multiple printers. I think it is an Apple issue as to why it won;t see 2 separate printers. The printers are awesome and I think it will get sorted out soon.
