Soukycan,

Many apps can automatically recognize dates, locations, and contact data, and make it easy for you to save this information in your address book and calendar. This feature is called “data detectors.”

Add contacts to Contacts

  1. In a email message or document, move the pointer over a phone number, email address, or street address anywhere in the text. The data is highlighted as a field with a pop-up menu.
  2. Click the arrow and choose an option from the pop-up menu. For example, you can add the data to an existing contact or create a new contact. If you’re connected to the Internet, you can map an address.

Add events to Calendar

  1. In a email message or document, move the pointer over a date or time anywhere in the text. The data is highlighted as a field with a pop-up menu.
  2. Click the arrow to display a preview of the date.
  3. To add the event or edit the event before adding it to Calendar, click “Quick Look Event.” When you’re done editing, click “Add to Calendar.”

Hope that helps,

Weston
