canon pixma mx860 printing blank pages since upgrade to os x yosemite

Hi,

Wondering if someone can help me. My Canon MX860 won't print or copy any black & white since my upgrade to OS X Yosemite. I have checked ink cartridges, restarted printer, re-plugged in usb cord, cleaned rollers & heads, did all maintenance and test pages, and also went onto the canon support website and updated my print driver. I am at a loss. I select copy in black and white and it prints a blank page! Anyone have this problem?

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Yosemite 10.10.1

Sorry, but are you saying that if you copy a document and have the MX set to B&W then you get a blank page. Because if this is the case, this has nothing to do with Yosemite and suggests there is an issue with the black ink tank or the black portion of the print head. Have you printed a nozzle test to check the print head operation?

That is the first thing I did. I even went and purchased a new black ink cartridge in case there was some defect with the cartridge. I did print a nozzle test and it prints the black in it during this operation. I only had this problem with my printer since installing Yosemite 3 days ago. My printer printed fine before this. Yosemite also installed the upgrade to my printer i noticed after downloading Yosemite. So yes i think this is totally related to the upgrade of Yosemite. I have tried everything else.
