Q: Does itunes match corrects artworks and wrong album data too?


My main purpose of buying iTunes match was to correct my song's and album's incorrect or missing artwork and to replace the existing wrong information from songs and from albums.

 

And in most of the cases, iTunes shows my song matched but it never updates Artwork. Also now when I change artwork manually in iTunes from PC it is automatically getting replaced with the earlier one. I believe icould is synchronizing it back with the existing old artwork. This is happing only with Artwork, if I change the album or song info it reflects everywhere.

    Hi,

    iTunes match does not correct any wrong metadata info. You have to do that yourself.

     

    Artwork is a different matter. iTunes can find artwork for a lot of albums, the rest you need to add artwork yourself. The problem here is that some people find that the artwork reverts to previous version. Personally this has not been a major issue for me.

     

    When making changes, do not select update iTunes match as any change should filter through to match as soon as change is made. Suggest that you only do small batches of changes at any one time.
