How do I record sound in Motion. I have an external monitor all setup and working but need to to the Motion file and add my own voice to the project. How do I go about doing that. Thanks for any help.

Can't do it directly in Motion but assuming you have the full FCS, you can use Soundtrack or Final Cut to record your voice and then marry it up in Motion - if you need reference, export a movie from Motion and bring it into STP, for example.
How do you export, meaning what do you export it as, and then how do you imort it in soundtrack pro so I can see what I need to voice record. Thanks for your help.
Just export a quicktime movie. The Soundtrack Pro documentation is pretty straightforward on importing a movie and recording audio.
So simple that it can be repeated here even:
Export your movie from Motion
Open SoundTrack Pro, you should be presented with an empty multitrack project.
Drag the video to the blank grey video pane in the upper right corner, or to the video track in the timeline.
Enable record on an empty audio track.
Press record.
Edit as necessary. If you want to edit the sound you've recorded itself (necessary when recording voice), double click the track and it will open in the waveform editor.
