Q: Ipod 3rd generation doesn't charge :-(

Hello everyone,

It is my first time on the forum and my English is horrible, but turn to you to solve my problem.
I bought an iPod 3rd generation 15 gb at a garage sale. Being old, I bought a new battery and it worked, until then all well .. today when I connect to my mac (never had) itunes suggests to me an update. I agree, it restarts and not turn over. When I try, the apple icon and then begins the strange icon appears in photos attached.

I've tried 'restore' pressing menu + play, but nothing. Now I'm loading it into the wall charger iphone.

Please help me ... I am desperate.
