java SE 6 runtime

I just installed Yosemite and now I have this popup every 5 seconds that says I need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime! What? I can't even type for the popup constantly interrupting.

How's this for irony? Like others, I was prompted by Photoshop to download the Java thing. I clicked on the "more info" button, and APPLE Safari wouldn't take me to the support.apple.com/kb/DL1572. I even tried the link in these posts, and it doesn't go anywhere, blank page with the address in the bar. So I opened Chrome and pasted the link into the address box, and amazing, it took me to the website at APPLE for the download. (I've been having problems with Safari since upgrading to Yosemite; it hangs up and refuses to load some pages, but not all)

I used to brag to all my PC friends that Apple was the best... the past couple years are proving me wrong.
