What can Air Watch monitor exactly?

HI guys,

Just got an iPad Air from my school and had to install the Air Watch app. Initially, I had intended to create a new Apple ID to put on my iPad, but at the time of setting it up I realised I would have to re-purchase both music and apps which is something I didn't want to do. So I signed in with my personal Apple ID and now I am concerned about what they can monitor. Is it only things on this iPad like apps installed etc? Or is it across my whole Apple ID on all my devices? Not too keen on this monitoring malarkey...

Cheers,

Chris

I think you are fairly safe. All apps are sandboxed. That means an app cannot look at other apps data. The only think shared are photos. I think you have to give permission. Check.

Air Watch can enforce profiles to be on the your ipad. Profiles are an automated way of controlling your settings.

See what Airwatch is claiming it can do.

Note: ios does not allow remote screen sharing. Probably does not allow remote syncing of data. That's what dropbox is about.

It could be that Airwatch can only list apps it installed.

hints.
