Q: SMS (Text) Auto Forwarding

Is there an app or work around to auto forward sms (text) message from one iPhone to another?  Here is my dilemma I have 2 iPhones.  Each on another carrier (Sprint & AT&T).  One is for business one is for personal use.  I do not want to carry two phones.  I can already forward my phone calls, but text messages how do I do that.  I have looked on the app store but there doesn't seem to be any app solutions.  Any suggestions?

HI there, try this.....with iMessage turned on, on both Phones, on the phone you want to leave behind turn off "send read receipts" at this point you should see the Text Message Forwarding box appear. Once you select that box it takes you to the next step. You should see the phone you want the messages forwarded to with the ability to slide it to the on position. Once you do that it should ask you to enter the code it sends to the other phone. Once you enter that code you can test it to be sure if someone texts the phone youre leaving behind you receive it on your "Go with you" phone. I Think there is a glitch though because in everything I've read it appears it has been a problem for a lot of people to find the "text message forwarding" button under the iMessage field. When I did my text forwarding it wasn't there either so I just went in and started turning buttons on and off and it showed up once I turned off "read receipts". I really hope this works for you.

Note that Text Message Forwarding only works while both phones (devices) are on the same Wifi network (and signed in to the same iCloud account). Therefore, this is not an option, unless you carry both phones with you.

Hi, I have an iPhone's messages redirected to three devices (ipad, mac, and mac mini). Lets call it "main iPhone". I would like to have the messages of a new iPhone (Work's) to Main's. I went through the the process you describe but when I reach to the stage "introduce the code showed on your iPhone" that is to say, my iPhone, the code never appears in the Main iPhone. The same happens if I try to forward to the other devices. Any suggestion?

Can I asked whether you solved it?

I have exactly the same issue and looked at the solutions and cannot make it work. Recently switched from a VERY OLD android which did call and text forwarding to my iPhone without problems and now have TWO iPhones and I cannot forward the text any longer.
