iTunesUnfortunately it's quite simple - Mavericks hasn't been available since Yosemite was released and we don't know whether it will ever be available. You can still get Mountain Lion; or if your Mac is capable of handling Mavericks then it's capable of handling Yosemite (though there have been reports that it's rather slow if you don't have an SSD or a fusion drive).
You may find other sites purporting to offer Mavericks but you would be extremely ill-advised to use them - illicit sites are a quick way of installing malware on your Mac.

Nov 29, 2014 9:05 AM in response to peggyfromnewportbeachby mns579,There were three different 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMacs. Two will run the latest OS, one won't. The mid 2007 iMac7,1 model (aluminum case) will run Yosemite, but you'll want to max out the RAM to 6GB if increased speed is the goal. The mid 2009 iMac9,1 model (aluminum case) will also handle Yosemite; it will accept 8GB of RAM. But the earliest 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, the late 2006 iMac5,1 model (white plastic case), tops out at Lion.
