Same exact problem, and the linked how-to repair, does not fix the problem.

Wifi is grayed out, iphone 4s, iOS 8.1.1 update (11/29,14) just killed the wifi dead. iOS 8 updates killed Bluetooth....

I just don't understand this at all....

Can I take the phone back to IOS 7 with the ipsw file?

Anyone know if that might work?

Essentially I know own an expensive phone that has zero functionality aside from sending/receiving phone calls & texts.
