How to view .BUP, .IFO, and .VOB video files

Can anyone tell me how to view .BUP, .IFO, and .VOB video files on my macbook? When I try to access these files I am asked to choose an application to use, but none seem to work. Many thanks.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hi Lyssa:

Thank you. Could you tell me a bit more about VLC - where/how can I access it? I copied an interview made of my father from a DVD onto my Mac, because I was afraid of losing it, which I did! But I now cannot view the video/interview from these files... I get a message saying: "There is no application set to open the document “VIDEO_TS.VOB”. When trying to open up the BUP files, Adobe opens up but does nothing. And when trying to open up the IFO files, iPhoto opens up with a message saying: "the following file could not be imported. The file is in an unrecognizable format."
