How do I know when iCloud backup is done on my iPad air 2
I got a new iPad and I wanted to update to iOS 8.1.1 but it said that I have to wait till I close back up is done, how do I know when it's done?

go to Settings>iCloud>iCloud Backup, to see when the last backup was created. If the backup is still in progress, you will see the blue progress bar and the message that the iPad is backing up to iCloud in that screen.
I do not use iCloud for my primary backups. I still use iTunes. The last time that I backed with iCloud was 9/21/14 as you can see.
