Sep 30, 2015 9:11 AM in response to warrenfromeugeneby jrc*,There's a bug where Recently Deleted doesn't include all deleted photos. The workaround is to set the clock back: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8281
You might also check Messages app, where many photo attachments can be hiding. For each thread, tap Details, scroll down to the attachments, long tap (tap-and-hold) one of them, tap More… in the edit menu, then you can choose photos and delete them.

Nov 8, 2015 9:15 PM in response to SEOmamaby idiginit,I followed these instructions going through about every date and still it showed nothing in my deleted photos album. Then I noticed that I had went from 300MB of available storage to 8.5GB. Somewhere along the lines, just by changing the dates, my phone had corrected itself. Ive been dealing with this issue for months of web searching and with multiple factory resets, syncs, restores, chats, and trips to the dreaded apple bar. I was about at my wits end trying to get this resolved. No more deleting photos and apps just to take a picture. Heck; maybe now I can even take a video!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!

Dec 2, 2015 12:14 PM in response to jrc*by cordellLM,I signed in here just to say that worked for me, I had 600+ photos and 70 vides in the recently deleted that were hidden until I manually rolled the clock back. Bizarre. I am so happy now to finally have that cleaned out.
