Q: Delete photos from My Photo Stream not iPhoto

Ok, so I'm a little confused and need some clarification. I have Photo Stream set up on my MacBook Pro within iPhoto and selected the automatic import option within the preferences. Now my question is .... if I open up iPhoto and delete all the photos in My Photo Stream will it delete the pictures from the Photo Stream Tab within the Events Section? Are the photos being automatically copied into iPhoto, automatically creating a new Tab and I'll be able to delete all photo stream pictures without losing anything? I hope that made sense

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

All photos you are seeing in monthly events called "Apr 2010 Photo Stream" have been added to your iPhoto library and are are safe.  But photos you are seeing only in the "iCloud" section are in Photo Stream (for a month), and any photo you delete there, will be removed from the Photo Stream on all synced devices. Copies that you imported to events will stay, when you delete the copy in "My Photo Stream".

These events have been created by automatic import:

And this is showing what can be downloaded from iCloud (for a month)
